from 6 pm - 10 pm, when Las Olas Boulevard will be closed to traffic
from SE 6th Avenue to SE 11th Avenue. The event is free and open to
the public.

arenas and the Seminole Coconut Creek
Casino stage, enjoy magical animated lit
displays, delight to tasty holiday treats, thrill to rides down
Starbucks Snow Mountain, have a photo taken with Santa, courtesy of
the 50th anniversary of Holy Cross Hospital and visit with the
Winterfest gang at the Hideaway Marina display.
This year, the fun and excitement continue throughout the month of
December, every Tuesday evening (December 6, 13, 20 & 27)

entertainment for all ages. See Santa at the Riverside Hotel, follow
street entertainers, visit a real gingerbread
house at Stork’s and listen to story hours
at Flora Ottimer’s Children’s Boutique. These are the staples, but
there will be a myriad of different events each week including live
music, interactive shop tours and gifts for all.
On Tuesday, December 6th, the Holiday Happenings
season begins with a stroll
along fabulous
Las Olas Boulevard. Musical and entertainment stops will be found at
22 locations. There is also plenty of fine food, fashion and holiday
treats as you enjoy a wonderful South Florida outing.
On Tuesday, December 13th, celebrate Fiesta de Reyes, the
10th annual Three Kings Festival, sponsored by El Heraldo de
Broward, for the benefit the Light of the World Clinic. Latin foods
will be for sale including pan de lechon, rice, plantains, beans,
specialty fruit drinks and holiday sweets. Arts & crafts gift items,
from a number of Latin and South American countries, will be for
sale and lend to the holiday spirit. Free salsa lessons, salsa and
merengue bands, folkloric shows and holiday stylings by teen
vocalist, Eana enhance the evening.
On Tuesday, December 20th, enjoy a specially created tour for
each audience segment. The kid’s
tour begins with a passport at the Publix
booth on Las Olas Boulevard and SE 6th
Avenue, followed by visits to Santa at the Riverside Hotel, Flora
Ottimer’s Story Hour, listening to carolers at Kilwin’s, visiting
the Fort Lauderdale’s Children’s Theater area to do a craft project,
